Mexico After 26 Years

x   Advance Parole After my father died in 1998, my mother and grandparents decided to bring us to the United States. Unfortunately, due to some circumstances, we were not able to connect with my father's family.  I was able to make this trip after 26 years of being apart. It helped me heal and reconnect with my roots. I wasn't aware that I have a lot of men in my life to look up to. My uncles and aunts came to visit and did gatherings. One of my uncles saw my daughters riding a horse and said, "La Sangre No Miente," which means blood does not lie. My childhood, if I had stayed in Mexico, would have been around horses and animals. Being a farmer runs in my blood and my children's blood. I am glad they were able to meet my daughters and husband, which to me meant the world. I love how they took me to my father's, grandfather's, and grandmother's graves for closure.  I was also able to see my cousins and their beautiful children. I stayed with my wonderf
